Graphic Arts Institute, belong a slogan `a tale of technology` basically a technological and engineering institution for Graphic media and print- packaging world of Bangladesh. The Institute Supervised by Bangladesh technical education board is conscientious for its all academic and administrative area.

Sequential scenery of Graphic Arts Institute is not so stretched in volume. But the initiative of an excellent begin is truly tremendous.

1967, Azam Khan, Governor of the East Pakistan and Dr. Waqar Ahmed, Director General of the Technical Education Directorate open their eyes for the more betterment of sickness of Design and Printing technology in East Pakistan. And they take active initiative for that bad health of printing technology more healthy and cure.

And these two are the foremost architect of Graphic Arts Institute. They decide to appoint RK Mollah as Chief Instructor of the infant Graphic Arts for suitable nurture.

For the betterment of potential he sent to the South Dakota University of USA for higher schooling on printing technology. Other instructors of the institute send to the Central Government Printing Press (BG Press) in Dacca (Dhaka). After completing his training RK Mollah appointed as first Principal of Graphic Arts Institute. Later he achieves a PhD. on electronic color separation and scanning for North Dakota University of USA for the first time in this arena from East Pakistan then.

In 1967, one and only institute for Design and Print-production Technology on track with 25 student primarily. That’s the tale of journey started and going on slickly till today which is started with the hand of Dr. RK Mollah. Since 1967, the institute approved a six semester’s diploma (3 Years) degree in Graphic Design and Offset Printing technology.
